With a 2008 impact factor of 5.105 (previously 4.907), The American Journal of Medicine (The Green Journal) is now ranked 13th of 100 journals in the Medicine, General and Internal category, according to the latest Journal Citation Reports® 2009, published by Thomson Reuters. The Green Journal's standard of excellence and continued success can be attributed to the strong leadership of the Editor-in-Chief, Joseph S. Alpert, MD and the outstanding editorial board and reviewers.
