The American Journal of Medicine Media RoomNews from The American Journal of Medicine The American Journal of Medicine, the official journal of the Association of Professors of Medicine, is one of the most highly regarded general medical journals in the world. Press releases highlighting an interesting or innovative article scheduled for publication in the forthcoming issue of The American Journal of Medicine are distributed on a regular basis. These featured articles typically cover original scientific studies in internal medicine with direct clinical significance, health care issues and public health policy. All articles published in the journal are subject to a stringent peer review process. It is our goal to disseminate newsworthy information to the international medical news community. Embargo Policy All press releases are under embargo until the issue in which the article will be published becomes available in electronic form (in advance of print publication). We will provide the media with full-text copies of the articles in question prior to the embargo date so that stories can be adequately researched and written.
The embargo date is 5-7 working days prior to electronic availability of the issue. The standard embargo time is 5:00 am EST on that date. The press releases are in PDF format. To view these, Adobe Acrobat 6.01 or later is recommended.
